Volkswagen Golf VI contains 40% recycled materials

golfVolkswagen Golf contains 527 kilograms of recycled materials. Companies like Volkswagen and SiCON have developed a method for treating materials to be used effectively to a car building.

With this method, over 85% of a car can be recycled. Thus, Volkswagen Golf VI contains about 527 kilograms of recycled materials, of which 501 kg represents the metal’s mass acquired after the recycling.

The amount of recycled plastics used to the new Golf is 15 kilograms and the amount of recycled glass is 9 kg. All these elements have been inspected by the German Association for Technical Inspection ( TUV) which certified the results.
