Toyota has officialy announced, at the Detroit Auto Show, that will develop a series model which will run on hydrogen. The launch of this model will take place in 2015.

The first projects in this direction have started recently. Totoya tested a hydrogen version of Highlander. The Executive Vice President. Masatami Takimito, says that now, the biggest problem is the absence of refueling points.

Toyota is not the first producer that accept this challenge, already BMW announced the  Hydrogen 7 version. Aslo, Honda will start to produce this year the FCX Clarity model, which is fueled by hydrogen.
