Australia Plans to Build the World’s Largest Solar Power Station

Australia will invest over 1 billion dollars in the world’s largest solar power station with an output of 1000 megawatts, according to the Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. The solar power plant would have three times the generating capacity of the current biggest solar-powered electricity plant, located in California.

Asia’s largest solar thermal power plant to be built by China

China wants to build the Asia’s largest solar power plant in a Beijing suburb.  The project was developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and will cost 14.7 million dollars. The construction will start next month.
