The United States Department of Energy has materialized the interests for improved geothermal energy (EGS) announcing an investment of 84 million dollars for funds offered in two installments. Last year, this department has invested in other 43 million dollars in this sector.

This week, the company named Raser Technologies announced that it has finished construction of a plant that is the United States’ largest geothermal hotbeds to be discovered in over 25 years. One third of all homes in Utah could be powered by this plant.
