Researchers at the GreenField Solar American Corporation have set up a revolutionary generator of solar energy which can produce up to 1,500 watts of electricity. Unlike traditional flat panels, this generator can focus and intensify up to 900 times more solar energy, on a section of only 25 centimeters.
The generator contains 28 aluminum panels that are arranged arranged in a wing shape to obtain a parabolic curve and to better reflect the light onto solar cells. These are grouped in 40 layers in a chip, so that each receive an equal portion of sunlight.
Greenfield generator contains 200 such chips that can generate a total of 1,500 watts of energy. The cells used in these chips are 20% more efficient than conventional solar panels.
The only problem which remains to be tackled is that of maintenance the aluminum surface, which could be quite costly.
