Opel HydroGen4 Make Its First Appearance in Europe

General Motors will begin a series of tests in Europe with the new Opel HydroGen4, a vehicle which is powered by hydrogen fuel cells.
The environmentally friendly model will be tested in the first stage at Berlin, and then the new companies to use HydroGen4 services. Important names such ADAC, Allianz, Coca Cola, Hilton, Linde, Schindler, Axel Springer, Total and Veolia would use the model’s services.
HydroGen4 uses a package of 440 fuel cells which combine hydrogen and oxygen from the atmosphere to produce electricity. The HydroGen4 has a battery that can store energy recovered at braking by a efficient system. Wheels are triggered by an electric engine of 97 horsepower that can accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in 12 seconds. Top speed can reach a value of 160 kilometers per hour.
