Because the hydrogen is still produced from fossil fuels,  many companies are looking for new alternative hydrogen sources. The researchers have made a new discovery. They have found that the hydrogen could be produced from dough and sewage.

Proterra HFC35 will be the world’s first hydrogen powered fuel cell plug-in hybrid bus fabricated and designed by Mobile Energy Solutions company. This prototype will debut on spring 2009 and in my opinion this will be the first 100% environment-friendly bus.

General Motors will begin a series of tests in Europe with the new Opel HydroGen4, a vehicle which is powered by hydrogen fuel cells.
The environmentally friendly model will be tested in the first stage at Berlin, and then the new companies to use HydroGen4 services. Important names such ADAC, Allianz, Coca Cola, Hilton, Linde, Schindler, [...]

Volkswagen created in collaboration with Shanghai Auto, a vehicle powered by hydrogen fuel cells. The model is a Passat Lingyu and promotes the use of alternative energy in the automotive industry. The model production  will start in 2010.

Mazda bring in Europe the  RX-8 Hydrogen RE, an environmentally friendly car with a hydrogen engine. The car will be launched first time in Norway, one of the countries with the most  hydrogen power stations.  It is the first ecological car with a hydrogen engine from the Japanese manufacturer, informs AutoBlog.
